Cookie Policy

What Jara stores on your phone or computer, why, and for how long. We use only what the app needs to work: no advertising or tracking cookies.

1. What cookies and device storage are

Cookies are small pieces of information a website saves on your phone or computer. Apps like ours can also save a little information so pages open faster and work on a slow network. In this policy, "cookies" means all of these.

2. We use essential cookies only

Jara uses only essential cookies and storage. They keep you signed in, save your drafts and let the app work offline. We don't use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and we don't allow other companies to set cookies through Jara.

Essential cookies are needed for the service you asked for, so they don't need your consent. We still tell you about them here and in the notice you see on your first visit.

3. Everything we store

  • Staying signed in: keeps you signed in so you don't need a code every time. Lasts until you sign out.
  • This notice: remembers that you've seen it. Lasts 12 months.
  • Your unfinished deal: keeps a deal you're writing, and the circle you last used, so nothing is lost. Lasts until you post it or clear it.
  • Your checkout choices: keeps quantity, delivery and address if you leave and come back. Lasts until you pay.
  • "Add to home screen" offer: remembers whether we've shown it. If you tap "Not now", we wait 14 days before showing it again.
  • Pages for offline use: copies of pages and photos you opened, so they show on a slow or no network. Kept up to 7 days for pages and 30 days for photos, and removed when you sign out.
  • Alerts: only if you turn alerts on, so we can send you notifications. Lasts until you turn them off.

4. Your choices

  • Cookie settings in the footer shows the notice again at any time.
  • You can delete cookies and site data in your browser's settings. If you delete the sign-in cookie you'll be signed out; deleting drafts loses unsaved work.
  • Blocking essential cookies stops the app from working properly (for example, you can't stay signed in).

5. Changes to this policy

If we ever want to use optional cookies (for example, to count how the app is used), we'll update this policy and ask you first. They stay off unless you turn them on.
