Terms of Use
Effective 7 October 2026 · Version 1.1.0
These terms are the agreement between you and KLOSE HUB for using Jara. Please read them. They explain what we do, what you must do, and what happens when something goes wrong.
1. Who we are and what we do
Jara is run by KLOSE HUB (BN 9673698), a business name registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean KLOSE HUB. "You" means the person using Jara.
Jara is an online platform. It helps people in trusted groups ("circles") such as estates, streets, friends, churches and offices buy goods together. Sellers post deals. Buyers join them and pay through our payment partners, Paystack and Bachs.
We are a platform, not the seller. The seller of each deal sells the goods to you. We do not make, own, store, inspect or deliver the goods. The contract for the goods is between you and the seller. Our role is to provide the platform, collect payments through Paystack, work out prices and refunds by the rules in these terms, and pay sellers.
Contact us at support@jaracircle.com.
2. Accepting these terms
You accept these terms when you create an account, and again when you post a deal or pay for an order. If you do not agree, do not use Jara.
These terms work together with our Privacy Policy and our Refund and Cancellation Policy. Together they are the whole agreement between you and us about Jara.
We may change these terms. Each version has a date. We tell you about changes in the app. For important changes, we ask you to agree again before you continue. Changes do not affect orders you paid for before the change.
3. Who can use the app
- You must be at least 18 years old, or use the app with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms for you.
- You must be able to enter into a binding contract under Nigerian law.
- You need a phone number that can receive SMS. Sign-in uses a one-time code.
- The details you give us must be true and up to date.
- One person, one account. You must not create an account for someone else without their permission, or use more than one account to get around a limit.
4. Your account and security
You sign in with your phone number and a one-time code. Keep your phone, SIM and codes safe. Never share a code with anyone, including someone who says they work for us. We will never ask you for a code.
You are responsible for what happens on your account. If you think someone else has used it, tell us at once at support@jaracircle.com. We are not responsible for losses caused by a phone, SIM or code you shared, or one that was lost or stolen and you did not report to us quickly.
5. Circles
Circles are created and run by users. A circle's admins decide who joins. We do not check who is in a circle, or check that members are who they say they are. Only members of a circle can join its deals.
You can leave a circle at any time. Admins can approve or decline people who ask to join. We may remove a circle or a member who breaks these terms.
6. How deals work
There are two kinds of deal:
- Group deal. The price drops as more people join, following the price levels the seller sets. The deal closes at the closing time the seller sets.
- One-buyer sale. One item for one buyer. The first person to pay gets it.
Joining a group deal. You pay today's price, which is the price with you included. If more people join and the price drops, everyone pays the final price at closing. Anyone who paid more gets the difference back automatically. Group size is counted in people, not in the number of items each person buys.
If not enough people join by the closing time, the seller's rule for that deal applies. The rule is shown on the deal before you pay:
- "Sell to whoever joined": the deal goes ahead at the price level reached.
- "Cancel and refund everyone": the deal is cancelled and everyone gets a full refund, including any delivery fee.
Buy alone. On a group deal you may instead "buy alone" at the single-buyer price. A buy-alone order is final at once. It does not count towards the group, it does not get a price-drop refund, and it goes ahead even if the group does not fill. It is refunded only if the seller cancels the deal, or if you cancel it in time (see section 9).
Quantity limits, delivery options and delivery fees are set by the seller and shown at checkout.
7. Payments
- All prices are in Nigerian naira (₦). Sellers set their prices and price levels. The price you pay is worked out by our system, not typed in by anyone.
- You pay through our payment partner: Paystack (card, bank transfer or USSD) or Bachs (card). The checkout shows which one a deal uses. That partner's own terms also apply to your payment.
- The payment partner sends your receipt to the email address you give us.
- A checkout you start but do not pay expires after 30 minutes. You can start again at that day's price.
- Delivery fees are set by the seller, shown before you pay, and go to the seller in full.
How your money is handled. Your payment is collected by our payment partner. The money is kept for that deal and is not paid to the seller until the deal closes (for a one-buyer sale, until the 1-hour cancel window has passed). Then we use it to pay the seller and to pay any refunds due, as these terms and our Refund Policy say. If something has to be refunded, the refund is sent back through Paystack. Paystack's own terms apply to how it processes and holds payments.
A payment that reaches us after a deal has closed, been cancelled or changed, or for an item that has already been sold, is not accepted. It is refunded to you in full.
8. Fees
- Buyers pay no platform fee.
- Sellers pay a platform fee of 5% of item sales, VAT included. The fee is not charged on delivery fees. It is taken from the seller's payout.
- Our payment partner charges a fee on each payment. We pay that fee out of our platform fee, except where our Refund Policy says otherwise. When a payment is refunded, the payment partner keeps its fee. Who covers that fee depends on who cancelled; see the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
- We may change our fees. We will tell sellers in the app before the change applies. A change never affects a deal that was already posted.
9. Refunds and cancellations
In short: if a group's price drops, the difference comes back to you automatically. If a deal is cancelled by the seller, or a group fails under the "cancel and refund everyone" rule, you get 100% back. If you cancel your own order, you get back what you paid minus Paystack's fee (about 1.5% + ₦100). The full rules are in our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.
- You may cancel a group order only while leaving does not raise the price for the others, and before the group closes.
- You may cancel a one-buyer purchase or a buy-alone order within 1 hour of paying, while the deal is still open and before the seller marks it delivered.
- Refunds go back to the card or account you paid with. Banks usually take 3 to 10 working days to show them.
- Some bank transfer and USSD payments cannot be refunded automatically. If so, we ask you for a bank account in the app, and send the refund there.
10. Sellers' duties
If you sell on the app, you agree to all of the following:
- You own the goods, or have the right to sell them.
- Your title, photos, description, quantity, condition and price levels are true, complete and not misleading. Photos show the actual goods, or clearly say they are examples.
- Food and consumables: you sell only goods that are safe, fresh and fit to eat or use. You store, handle, pack and label them properly. Where the law requires it, the product is registered with NAFDAC. You never sell expired, contaminated or fake goods.
- You deliver as promised: at the pickup place shown, or by the delivery you offered, within a reasonable time after the deal closes (or after the sale for one-buyer items and buy-alone orders).
- You mark an order "delivered" only after the buyer has actually received it.
- You comply with all laws that apply to you and your goods, including consumer protection, trading, tax and product-safety laws. You are responsible for any tax due on your sales.
- You do not sell anything on the prohibited list (section 12).
- You are responsible for your goods: their quality, safety, description and delivery, and any loss, injury or damage they cause.
- Payouts go only to a bank account in your own name that you have confirmed in the app. For your safety, payouts pause for 24 hours after you change that account.
- Your payout is item sales at the final price, plus delivery fees, minus the 5% platform fee, minus any fees you owe. It is sent after the deal closes; one-buyer sales are sent 1 hour after the sale.
Cancelling a deal has limits. If you cancel a deal after people have paid, every buyer gets a full refund and you owe the payment fees on those refunds. We take them from your next payout, or you can pay them in the app. You cannot post new deals while you owe fees. You can cancel at most 5 deals in a calendar month (Lagos time), and you cannot cancel a deal once any order on it has been marked delivered. If 3 of your "cancel and refund everyone" groups fail to fill in a calendar month, you can use only "sell to whoever joined" until the next month.
11. Buyers' duties
- Read the deal before you pay: the price levels, the closing time, the rule if not enough people join, and the delivery options.
- Give a correct delivery address and phone number, and collect or receive the goods on time.
- Check the goods when you receive them.
- Report any problem with the goods to the seller and to us within 48 hours of delivery or pickup, with photos where you can.
- Do not make false claims. Before you ask your bank for a chargeback, raise the problem with us first so we can help.
12. Prohibited items and conduct
You must not sell, offer or buy:
- anything illegal in Nigeria, or stolen;
- drugs, controlled substances, or prescription medicines;
- weapons, ammunition, explosives or fireworks;
- counterfeit, fake or pirated goods;
- alcohol or tobacco to anyone under 18;
- regulated products that are not registered or approved where the law requires it (for example by NAFDAC or SON);
- live animals;
- adult or sexual content;
- anything that needs a licence or permit the seller does not have.
You must not:
- commit fraud, or create fake deals, fake groups or fake buyers;
- manipulate prices or group sizes;
- harass, threaten or abuse anyone;
- send spam;
- arrange to pay or be paid outside the app for a deal posted on it, to avoid fees or the refund rules;
- copy, scrape or misuse the app or other people's data;
- try to break, overload or get around the app's security or limits.
13. Problems between buyers and sellers
If something goes wrong with goods, the buyer and seller should first try to sort it out between themselves, using the deal's messages if helpful.
If that does not work, either of you can contact us at support@jaracircle.com. We may look at the order record, ask both of you for information and photos, and suggest a fair solution. We may hold a seller's payout while we review a reported problem. But we are not a party to the sale, we are not a judge, and we cannot guarantee any outcome. Refunds we can make are those described in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
14. Your content
You keep ownership of the photos, descriptions, questions and other content you post. You give us a free, non-exclusive licence to store, copy, show and share that content for running and promoting the app. That includes showing open deals on public deal pages and in search engines (section 15).
You must have the right to post your content, and it must not break the law or anyone else's rights. We may remove content that breaks these terms.
15. What the public can see
While a deal is open, anyone with its link can see it, and search engines such as Google may list it. That includes its title, photos, description, price, delivery options and the seller's name. Only members of the deal's circle can join it.
Buyers' names, circle names and the pickup place are never shown publicly. Once a deal closes, we ask search engines not to list it. Invite links and signed-in pages are never listed.
16. Suspension and closing accounts
We may limit, suspend or close an account, or remove a deal or circle, if we reasonably believe it breaks these terms or the law, puts other users at risk, or involves fraud. Where we can, we tell you why.
If we close a seller's account while they have open deals, we may cancel those deals and refund the buyers. Money owed to a seller is paid out after any refunds, fees and amounts under review have been settled, unless the law requires us to hold it.
You may stop using the app at any time, and ask us to delete your account at support@jaracircle.com. Orders and payouts already in progress are completed first. Some records must be kept by law; see our Privacy Policy.
17. What we cannot promise
- We provide the app "as is" and "as available". We work hard to keep it running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors.
- We do not promise that any group will fill, or that any deal will reach a particular price.
- We do not make, check or guarantee the goods. Their quality, safety and delivery are the seller's responsibility.
- We rely on other companies, including Paystack and Bachs (payments), Supabase (data storage and sign-in), Twilio (SMS) and the companies that deliver alerts to phones. We are not responsible for their delays or failures, including bank and network delays, though we will help where we can.
18. Limits on our liability
As far as the law allows:
- our total liability to you for any claim about a deal is limited to the platform fees we received on that deal;
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, business, goodwill or data.
Your legal rights are not affected. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have as a consumer under Nigerian law, including the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018.
19. Sellers' responsibility for claims
If you are a seller, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs, including legal costs, if someone makes a claim against us because of your goods, your listings, or your breach of these terms or the law.
20. Law and how disputes are settled
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
If you have a complaint about us, please follow these steps. (1) Write to us at support@jaracircle.com with the details. We reply within 5 working days and try to resolve it. (2) If it is not resolved within 30 days, either side may refer it to mediation, for example at the Lagos Multi-Door Courthouse. (3) If mediation does not resolve it, the courts of Lagos State have jurisdiction.
This does not stop you from complaining to the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC), using a small-claims procedure, or using any other right the law gives you.
21. General
- Changes: see section 2.
- If part is invalid: if a court finds any part of these terms invalid, the rest still applies.
- No waiver: if we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- Transfer: we may transfer this agreement to a company that takes over the app, and we will tell you. You may not transfer your account or this agreement.
- Notices: we contact you in the app, by SMS or push notification, or by email. You contact us at the details below.
- Whole agreement: these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund and Cancellation Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the app.
